We decided to take a drive up to Salt Lake City.
When we first arrived, we stopped at a great little place called Moochies.
We found out about it on Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives.
They serve authentic cheesesteaks, meatballs subs, and hoagies.
They also have Birch Beer on tap, and Tasty Cakes of all flavors!
It was like being back in Jersey for lunch!
Afterwards, we headed to the Conference Center.
Tours are available daily, and we were lucky enough to get a condensed one,
since they usually run an hour, but our little ones don't have that long of an attention span yet.
It's a beautiful building.
Sheri and I got to see the Relief Society broadcast there last year,
but it had been so long since I had last had a tour, that I learned a lot.
Marigold in the Auditorium
Outside in front of the waterfall
A Sandblasted mural on the rooftop garden
The West Rooftop garden filled with plants to represent the valley
A rooftop fountain in the East Garden, which represents the mountains
View of the Capital
View of the Temple
Then it was across the street to Temple Square.
As always, there was so much to see, and it was full of people.
We counted 6 new brides!
The Christus Statue inside the North Visitor's Center
Some of the gorgeous flowers
Outside of the Tabernacle
Inside the Tabernacle
The Seagull Monument
At the Temple
One of the beautiful fountains
Another look at the temple...there is one of the brides we saw
We had a great trip!
