I Love Jared - Park City Getaway

To celebrate our 4th year anniversary,
Jared took we away to Park City, Utah
We had a great time!!

We stayed in a small condo at the Lodge.

It was so pretty!

Dinner at Legends

They had these moose all over town

The next morning we drove down to Provo

and stopped by Bridal Veil Falls

Then we went rafting down the Provo River

It was the perfect day for it!

I told Jared to bring the camera,
and he jokingly said in his "me" voice
"Honey, get a picture of the North American beaver!"
and guess what we did end up seeing...

yeah, that was too funny

And we also went on a zip line tour of the Provo Canyon

We rode 5 zip lines
The views were amazing!

Then we headed back in to park city
for a couple's massage
followed by dinner at

Yummy!

The next day, we went swimming, and spent the day
riding the ski lift, Alpine slide, roller coaster,
and all the other fun things there are to do at the resort.

Jared won by one swing :P

We both jumped, but I didn't do flips :)

We went to Dinner at J&G Grill at St. Regis -
another fabulous restaurant!

Riding on a funicular to get our dinner...
that's just so cool

It's so nice to be married to my best friend.
He knows I like experiences more than gifts &
He really outdid himself!
Looking forward to eternity with him!

I Love Parties - Wizard of Oz

Marigold is 8!!
She had a Wizard of Oz party to celebrate.
I didn't get to take many pictures,
(I was too busy having fun with the kiddos.)

Anyways,
we started out in Kansas (the living room)
and played a game called feed Toto.

The ceiling fan was a working tornado,
we turned it onand twirled around
while watching the twister clip from the movie.

(excuse the super dark pic)

Everyone got tornado in a jar,
and we went over the rainbow to Munchkinland.

Here our little Munchkins got lollypops and bubbles,
and we began our trip down the yellow brick road.

Next, we went on a "Lion Hunt"
(like a bear hunt)
And then it was on to the Emerald city!
After coloring a horse of a different color,
we were sent to get the broomstick of the Wicked Witch of the West

So, we threw wet sponges at her until she melted!
Her flying monkeys were no match for us :)

Back in Emerald City,
all the boys got Wizard top hats
and we took a ride in a hot air balloon!

Then we clicked our heels together
and headed back to Kansas
for some yummy food, presents and cake!

The full food list was corny but fun!

Toto hotdogs
Rainbow fruit platter
Emerald city veggie tray
Yellow brick road Krispie treats
Flying Monkey Bread
Witch hat cookies
Lions, Tigers and Bears, Oh my! Animal cookies
Ding-Dongs (the witch is dead)
Glinda's pink lemonade
Wicked witch Appletini
Munchkin Munchies
and the house fallen on Witch cupcakes

Marigold said she loved it!
Which made it all worth it  ^_^

I Love California - Part 3

Today we packed up and headed for the beach!!
It's been over two years since we'd been
We were so excited!

Manhattan Beach

Seaweed

Ashlynn was in heaven!

Toes where they belong!

Jared showing the kids sand crabs

Building a fort

Pretty Girl

Burying Caleb

The pier had a really cool little aquarium
it was free too!

You could touch the starfish

The next day we said our goodbyes to Aunt Cathy and her boys.
She was awesome - setting us up with discounts, tickets, and a great hotel room.
The trip wouldn't have been the same without her!
Love you!!

Then we drove to LA
so Mom and I could tour the Grammy Museum

Mainly we just wanted to see the Ringo Starr Exhibit
(you can't take pics inside the museum, but it was a good time anyways)

When we finished, we hit the road
And spent the night in St. George

Hello Super Moon!

It was an awesome trip!
And everyone made it home in one piece -
who could ask for more?
