Marigold finished reading "The Hobbit" a while ago
we decided to plan a party to celebrate,
and finally had time to have it!
We invited Sheri and her boys, and had a great time!
We started with a Hobbit Feast of fruit,
pistachio scones, dates, nuts, and two round seed cakes
We followed our map to the Trollshaws,
where we played a freeze dance game...
While the lights were out and the music played,
we would dance.
When the lights came on and the music stopped,
we pretended we turned to stone.
Then we looted the Trolls' hoard, and found 4 "Stings"
They glowed blue on our trip down the dark goblin tunnels to...
We had to go into a totally dark room to find a gold ring,
and some swedish fish to eat
"Is it tasty, it it sweet, Precioussss?"
(I know, the rings aren't plain gold bands...
but I made them out of gold garden wire from the dollar store)
Aided by our new invisibility,
Where we stopped for a snack of Bread, butter and honey!
Then we traveled through Mirkwood to play a game called...
"Attercop, Tomnoddy!"
After defeating our captors, we traveled on,
and eventually made it to the lonely mountain.
Smaug was out, so we went into the Dwarf halls to play...
(Yes, a terrible late-night misspelling, I know)
The halls were hung with armour and weapons!
And there was a huge pile of treasure!
Then we helped defeat Smaug in our last game
The kids took turns being Smaug.
Smaug would fly out of the front gate of the lonely mountain,
to Laketown, where the people threw arrows at him :)
Everyone got a 14th share to take home!
(gold=rolos, silver=kisses, and a ring pop)
And there were dragon hats for all!
It was a really fun adventure!
