I Love Moving!

We've made a successful transition from Utah to New Jersey.
It was quite an adventure driving all this way with all the kids in Jared's Truck,
pulling the van on a trailer, and everything we need for the next year loaded up.
It was such a blessing to have the time to spend together.
We had origionally planned to be living in Alabama with Jared for a month
before arriving in Jersey, but because of the government shutdown,
we had to just "roll with it".

Before we left, I made a theme for each day we'd be traveling.
I chose movies, music, snacks, crafts, toys
and even iPad games to go along with the theme.
(Space day above, Halloween Day below)

(Ocean Day and Jungle Day)

All the preparation was well worth it!
We had some really long days,
but the kids were well occupied,
and excited about the new things they'd be doing each day.

Bye Empty apartment, hello backseat!

I love free breakfast at hotels,
and the kids love eating things they normally wouldn't get.
(Like fruit loops and doughnuts)

It's amazing how beautiful each state is, each in it's own way

While driving through Wyoming,
Jared's fuel light came on.
We kept hoping to find a place to fill up,
but every time we'd come up over a hill, there's just be nothing.
Finally, as his truck estimated 2 miles worth of gas left,
we came upon a Flying J with a Denny's...
just in time for lunch too.

On Halloween Day, we watched Spirited Away,
and the Nightmare before Christmas.
We made some fun crafts, and got glow sticks as it got darker outside :)

For Ocean Day, we watched Oceans by Disney and Ponyo.
We also had a lot of fun doing crafts and playing with Mermaid Dolls!

It's the arch!

Space Day Crafts!
We watched Planet 51, and Muppets from Space.

Poor Jungle Day...I guess I just didn't get any pics.
We watched Tarzan and Curious George and made some fun crafts.

We stopped for a potty break in Metropolis,
and Caleb just had to get a pic as Superman!

When we arrived in Tennessee,
Jared took Caleb to get a haircut
while us girls got to work at the laundromat.

We visited with all the cousins,
and even got to go for a ride at
Uncle Corey's family farm.

We were in town long enough to go to
Octoberfest in Lewisburg.
It was fun :)

The kids got to "Chalk the Walk"

And Daddy won everyone prizes at a Dart throwing booth.

We also had a very nice picnic dinner on our last night in town.
It was so fun to watch the kids play at the park by our pavillion.
The last leg of our trip was one very long day of driving from TN to NJ all in one shot.
The Truck ran well, the kids were so good, and we arrived safely.
Who could ask for anything more?
