I Love...Fourth of July

Happy Independence Day!
This year we celebrated by tie-dying shirts,
painting faces,
decorating bikes and having a parade,
BBQing
and of course,
staying up to watch fireworks.
But we didn't do it alone!
We invited everyone in our Quad who stayed in town to join us.
It was a blast!!

we made firework hat crafts at the library

so pretty!

Big Boy!

Ashlynn is getting so big!

It's getting dark!

I Love Saturdays - Bald Mountain Hike

We hiked Bald Mountain this weekend.
The wind was fierce, and the sun was strong,
but we made it to the summit in pretty good time.
It was a ward activity that was not well attended...
I'm really glad we took the opportunity to do it.
The view was amazing!
Make sure to scroll through the pics to get a link
to an interactive 360 shot from the summit!

I Love Dad...Father's Day

We were so happy to have Jared home for Father's Day!
Marigold sang with the primary children at church...
"My Daddy is My Favorite Pal"
and
"I'm So Glad When Daddy Comes Home"
I made the kids some shirts to wear as a surprise too.
We sure love our Daddy!

I Love Family Day - National Guard Style

Jared finished his two weeks a year training,
and so it was Family Day at his unit.
Lots of fun things to do and see...
Bounce houses, mechanical bull, helicopters, etc...
We had a really nice time!

Caleb is wiping his cheek, but it looks like he's picking his nose :)

I Love...Bumbo Seats

She's Arrived!
Ashlynn is 3 months old,
and she is big and strong enough to sit in her Bumbo.
It's so nice to have another way for her to play!
She loves to sit with us at the table now.
Reminds me of someone else...

I Love... Cracklins

Whole leg of pork was on sale for 99 cents a pound.
I couldn't resist!
The butcher's reaction to my order was priceless...
"You want the WHOLE THING?!"
Oh yeah
It fed 4 families the first night,
and I portioned it out for 11 more meals.
YUM!
