I Love Camping! - Bear Canyon

We took off with some friends over Memorial Day weekend
and camped at Bear Canyon on the Nebo Loop in Utah.
The weather was perfect and the scenery was picturesque.
We had such a great time -
the first family camping trip of many to come!

Happy Campers!

Ashlynn LOVED being outside so much

Playing in a dry creek bed nearby

Our campsite

What would camping be without marshmallows?

Sticky hands

Left: Dirty leg after a day of play
Right: Cleaned leg
Camping sure is dirty!

In the morning, the sun would hit the peaks before reaching us
So pretty!

The creek

A nearby campground had Pooh's 100 acre wood
to play in

signing the guest book

Look @ Ashlynn go!

Marigold has read all of the Pooh books,
and recognized all of the places

Someone sure put a lot of effort into this ^_^

The floody place was really floody

The bee tree

Caleb was excited when we found Pooh

and Tigger too!

being thoughtful

So scary!

So sad :(
The kids really loved it!

Driving the Nebo Loop

Short stop @ Devil's Kitchen
We've been here before!

Another short stop @ Grotto Falls

We let the kids play in the water - the COLD water

Ashlynn was in heaven!

These pics show how enclosed it is

They climbed a big rock - Kings of the mountain!

Like the Little Mermaid

Cheese!

Playing in Bear Creek

See Caleb in the corner?
I moved up to that log to take more pics of Jared and Marigold
But Caleb threw a rock that hit the phone,
it landed in the water and was carried a little ways downstream...
So, the pics stopped there while we waited for the phone to dry.
It's working fine now :)
All's well that ends well!

  1. What fun! I feel as though I had been there with you after seeing all the great pictures. Everyone looks delighted in every photo (well, except at Eeyore's house, but that's as it should be). :)
