I Love Good Eats!

Last week I went out to 2 restaurants I'd never been to before.

First, Jared took us all out to "Serving Time".
It's a cafe run by the Utah Correctional Facility.
The workers are a mix of correction officers and inmates.
Located just next to the high fences and barbed wire of the prison,
Serving Time is a small cafe with a huge menu.
They serve breakfast all hours they are open.
We tried the grilled ham and cheese and the French dip sandwiches.
The portions are HUGE, the food is yummy, and the prices are low.
They also sell delicious cookies, brownies, and other desserts.
I highly recommend it as a family friendly eating experiance!

Jared also took me out on a date to Black Sheep Cafe in Downtown Provo

Definitely a nicer place suitable for a date,
I wouldn't bring kids here...
They do accommodate,
but the menu and atmosphere are, in my opinion,
meant to be appreciated sans kiddos.

I had the hog jowl tacos pictured above = DELICIOUS
Jared had an off menu item
Buffalo steak surf and turf with mashed potatoes.

The food was interesting and wonderful, well worth the price.
I would love to go back again :)

  1. Wow! I'll have to try those places when I'm out there again. Thanks so much for taking the time to record things in this blog. It's great to keep up with what you're doing.
